The Fochabers Play Park Project group and other community representatives are working with Moray Council to redevelop the play park on East Street.

The Fochabers Play Park Project group have, since 2024, been carrying out community consultations and fundraising to support the renewal of the play park.

✨ £50,000–£55,000 FOR PHASE 1! ✨

PROJECT 1 – THE JUNIOR AREA - Our first project will concentrate on transforming the junior section of the park, alongside the addition of the replacement zip line.

Project 1 will include a £20,000 allocation from the Moray Councils Capital Replacement Fund to replace the Zipline. The capital replacement fund from the Moray Council allocates funds based on the independent, overall, condition score of each of their individual items of Play Equipment with the lowest scoring items being prioritised from replacement and thanks to the phenomenal support of the Fochabers community, the Fochabers Play Park Project Group have already raised a further £30- £35,000.

PROJECT 2

The Fochabers Play Park Project group will then continue fundraising and working towards completing the rest of the vision for Fochabers Playpark.

"When we started this journey, we knew it was going to take a huge amount of work — but seeing what our community has helped us achieve is incredible. Every person who has bought a raffle ticket, attended an event, donated, volunteered, sponsored us, shared our posts or simply supported what we're trying to achieve has played a part in getting us here.

This isn't just our achievement — it's Fochabers' achievement.

We still have work to do, and the fundraising and hard work certainly isn't stopping...

But today we can finally say:

🎉 PHASE 1 IS BECOMING A REALITY! 🎉

Thank you, Fochabers." Fochabers Play Park Project group

Project 1 will be completed by the end of March 2027
