Your views on the revised Common Repairs Policy
The revised Common Repairs Policy explains how we manage repairs and maintenance to buildings where we share responsibility with other owners. We hope that by reviewing the Common Repairs Policy we will:
make clear what the Council and other flat owners are responsible for;
give clear guidance on the process we follow for common repairs;
encourage more owners to take part in common repairs so that buildings are maintained, safe, and secure and meet relevant standards;
explain how owners are charged for common repairs;
explain how owners pay for common repairs and what happens if payments are missed;
follow legal requirements and best practice; and
help create better places for owners and tenants to live.
