Why we're reviewing the Estate Management Policy?
The current policy is old and needs updating. Since it was last reviewed, there have been changes in the law and in how housing services are delivered. We're updating it to make sure it's clear, up to date, and works well for tenants and staff.
To make things easier to understand, we've created and are also consulting on two new standalone policies:
Pet Policy for Council Tenants
Permissions Policy
The revised Estate Management Policyreflects changes in legislation, operational practice, good practice and regulatory requirements. It sets out clearer standards, defined roles and responsibilities, and supports more consistent, high quality services.
